Cowboys With Attitude Subject of Fraud Allegations

Cowboys with Attitude Subject of Fraud Allegations

In a shocking turn of events, Cowboys with Attitude have been exposed as complete fakes.

Since 1991, the infamous duo of Rockslide Slim and Elwood Grimes have presented themselves as former Montana skunk ranchers who answered the call of country western music. Songs with titles such as “She’s prettier than a bucketful of hog grits” and the aching but disturbing “I Love My Horse” have often been cited as true tales of sorrow.

Now it seems, it was all a lie. Rockslide is actually bank manager Trevor Bentwood of upstate New York and Grimes’ is a Connecticut orthodontist whose real name is Dennis Dennis.

“Neither one of them has ever even been to Montana,” says Dennis’s wife, who says she’s just sick of the whole charade. “It’s all been a pathetic bid for attention.”

Bentwood “Rockslide” has claimed himself to be a womanizer with multiple ex-wives. County records show he’s been married to the same woman for 23 years, is a deacon in the Mormon church and is father to 7 seven children, all honor students.

Dennis is married to his high school sweetheart who manages his dental office and raises their daughter, an aspiring ballerina.

When confronted with the evidence, he insisted on clinging to the story of two drifters who’ve done time and are wanted in several states for various crimes. “I is what I says I is!” Onlookers remarked on the bogus country accent. “He’s so East coast,” one said.

Bentwood would only hang his head and weep.

Neither would comment on the future of the Cowboys with Attitude. Bentwood’s wife is concerned that the entire family could be ex-communicated, but states “we’ll stand by him till he gets the help he needs, but Dennis is not welcome in our home. Ever.”
